A few of our Business Partners from Kuwait wanted to say hi to the rest of the Symmetry world!
Our meeting in Kuwait started at 9:30pm, a bit strange for me but common in that part of the world. Even stranger for me is going out to dinner at midnight!
We did have some very good meetings though; people were very excited about both our products and our business opportunity. I look forward to my next visit in July.
Last night we had a great Product Training in Dubai. There was a group that may have had more brand new people than Symmetry memmbers, which is always a sign the business is growing!
People were very excited with the information, some asking where they could buy product before we even finished! After the meeting people were buying GO Boxes, signing up in Symmetry and even buying all the bottles off the product display!

Last evening I did a PT in Abu Dhabi… that’s the UAE (United Arab Emirates). It’s a bit strange to me that the meeting started at 8:15pm. When I’m in the Philippines or the Caribbean that’s when my meeting is finishing.
We (local leader Sam Corpuz, team members and office staff) drove from Dubai, leaving my hotel around 4:15. A stop for gas and coffee along the way helped to fight off the jet-lag – at least for me.
The meeting room looked great and the local folks packed it out! The bell staff got chairs, extra chairs, 3 times and then they either ran out or that’s all we were allowed. We ended up with folks along the wall and standing in the back. Everyone was very excited about both the product and the opportunity.
I did a presentation on Symmetry and our number one product: Genesis. After a Q&A Session Sam touched on some business and did some recognition. Seems the crowd was hungry for more and so people broke up into smaller groups where leaders could explain more about the financial opportunity and sign new folks up. We sold a number of GO Boxes , upgraded a number of members and sold every last bottle of Genesis that was on the display!
Doesn’t get much better!
Sometimes I think maybe I should have become a mail carrier; neither sleet nor snow nor gloom of night will keep me from my appointed rounds. (Or something like that?) I’ve been traveling around the country through sub-freezing temps, heavy duty snow and some pitch black nights to bring science, and maybe some humor, to bear on the amazing impact diet, nutrition, supplementation and exercise can have on your health and longevity.
I’ve been rewarded by having some record breaking crowds around the USA. Not long ago I was in Minneapolis and they really packed the room out with a group of very excited folks. We had to stop the Q&A Session after it ran about twice as long as normal. I was in Newark doing a meeting with my friend and Symmetry US Sales Director; Brandon Langer. We did a 3 hour meeting covering not only the products but the business side of Symmetry. A couple days ago I was in Grand Rapids, Mich. It was standing room only! Not only did we have people standing along the walls in the meeting room but we had people, a lot of people, in the two rooms off the main meeting room. Hey, if you want a good seat – get to the meeting early! Last night I was in Dayton, Ohio and wow did they pack the room. We had about 150 people! Some of them drove 4 hours or more to attend the meeting. I met one young man that not only drove over 4 hours, he had just been introduced to Symmetry earlier that same day! Wow, is he ever going to do well in the business! Below is a picture of the great group from Dayton.
Today I’m off to Pontiac and then down to Norfolk, then Atlanta and finally to Jackson, Mis before I go home next week. I’m looking forward to more great crowds and helping you all build your business through knowledge of our truly amazing products! Hope to see you soon!
If you’ve heard me speak you’ve probably heard me mention that Symmetry is never done, none of our products are finished. We are always looking for ways to improve. Sometimes this change might be from an adjustment in a formula based on new scientific discoveries or it could be from accumulated clinical evidence. Product changes could also come from new manufacturing techniques that allow for greater concentrations or isolations of active ingredients resulting in more potency. These things are something we do to insure that Symmetry products are as good as we can make them.
This philosophy is not only true for our Symmetry products but for me, personally, as well. I’m not done. I certainly don’t know everything, not even a fraction of everything! I believe that the more we learn, the more we learn we don’t know. This has lead me into becoming something of an information and knowledge junkie. My undergraduate, graduate and doctorate training took nine years of college training. I’ve also done post doctorate training at the University of Hawaii, the University of San Francisco, the Emperor’s College as well as specialty training in China and Japan.
Right now I’m in Las Vegas attending training and workshops that cover some of the cutting edge information on new discoveries in nutrition, herbs, product processing as well as pertinent legal issues that essential to know when importing food and supplement materials from around the world.
So the good news is that Symmetry’s products are not finished, they never will be and neither will I.
It was mentioned that I should probably tell you about a recent speaking engagement. On my recent trip to the Philippines I was asked to be the keynote speaker for HADSAP (the Health and Dietary Supplement Association of the Philippines). This is an organization made up of nutritional and pharmaceutical manufacturers, pharmacists, suppliers as well as companies like GNC and, of course, Symmetry.
HADSAP works with the government in understanding the nutritional needs of its' citizens and helping to establish dietary standards.
I was asked to give a talk on, Why Nutrition is Important for Long Life. While I didn't mention Symmetry or our products specifically in this talk I certainly focused on the studies surrounding resveratrol. During the break the heads of all these companies were looking to score a little Genesis!
Just a quick travel update…
I left Manila Sunday evening at 8pm on an Emirates flight to Dubai. The flight was about 8 hours long, maybe 8 ½, landing in Dubai about midnight:30. For the most part the flight was uneventful – which is always a very good thing!
The plane was fairly new but pretty uncomfortable. The seats were barely wide enough for my hips. I think they were designed more for the average Asian or Mideast booty. I was amazed at the entertainment selection in coach class; 600 different channels! Movies, TV, Sports, Info, Music, Games, etc. (I read a book and did some work as well as a movie.)
They are building a brand new terminal here. The old one doesn’t look that old and has been updated but it will be torn down for the new one that opens in September. We pulled up close to the new terminal and were transported by bus to the main building. The first thing I noticed when they opened to doors was the heat! It was 12:30am but still hot!
I think this is the first airport where I’ve seen traffic jams around the runway from buses, catering, trucks, cars and construction vehicles. One busy place!
This is also the first place where I haven’t had to fill out landing documents – nothing for Customs and Immigrations; just a passport. It was quick and painless getting into the country.
I was met by about half a dozen local Symmetry folks as I came out from the terminal; which is always a great site in a foreign country! Thanks for being there!
It must have been close to 1:30am when I was all checked in to my hotel and since I’d been up for about 24 hours or so, I was ready for bed! I have a very comfortable suite – I think it’s bigger than some of the housing I had in college or even one or two of my early apartments!
I got up around 7:30am and got ready for a breakfast with our leaders here. We had a nice breakfast from between 9-10. At 10:45 we left the hotel for a little tour around the city.
Dubai is quite the place! 90% of all the building cranes in the whole world; are here!
The city is under construction 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! There is a huge project that will completely transform the place by 2010. New buildings, new roads, new bridges, even new lakes!
They say Dubai is building land in the water and water in the land. They have an exchange program… oil for soil. They trade oil with, I believe, Sweden, for dirt and grass which they have planted all around the city.
The tallest building in the world is now in Dubai.
It is also the home of Palm Island; part of the land in the water thing – completely man-made islands in the bay. I went by the base of the “palm” tree and there is a huge complex of new condos that line the street on either side and go several layers deep and yet every unit was sold before construction ever started!
Dubai is also home to a 7 star hotel, with another soon to open. We went by one of the 6 star hotels on the bay. Want to take a look? It costs $50 to check the place out and you have to have a reservation to get in.
It’s an amazing city and Symmetry is doing well here and spreading to Kuwait; where I’ll be going tomorrow night. At lunch today they told me of plans to go to Oman, several other Mideast countries and Malaysia. Doesn’t look like my travel will be slowing down in the future as we expand.
Did I mention that's its hot?!? Today it's 117 AND 1/2 degrees!
Time to go take some Genesis and Ultra Vitality!
Greetings from Manila. I’m in the domestic airport waiting on a flight to Cebu. Tomorrow I’ll fly back to Manila and after a Product Training head to the international airport around midnight for a flight that leaves about 3am to Dubai.
I’ve been quiet on my blog for a while… partly because of the travel schedule but party because I’ve had no power. My area, Battle Creek, Michigan, was hit with really heavy duty thunderstorms, torrential rainfall with flooding that left thousands of homes without power for the better part of a week. I was one of those without power. No power makes it difficult to get on-line and update my blog – or do anything else, for that matter!
Luckily we did get power again before I left for the Philippines and I’ve been trying to catch up with my e-mail and my reading. (When you get over 100 e-mail a day and you’re out of touch for a while; they build up fast!)
Let me give you an idea of some of the things I’ve been going through lately. The amount of information on resveratrol, the number of news stories coming in daily is amazing! I think it’s interesting to see where each story is coming from; New Delhi, India, Washington, DC, London, Sydney Australia and even Las Vegas!

When I started my Product Training just about all the seats in the room were filled. I was feeling really good about that; off to a perfect start. However, within the next few minutes the meeting size doubled! Hotel staff had to be called to bring more chairs, then more chairs and finally; there was no more room for chairs! They packed the house!

A number of our leaders came up to me before or after the meeting to say that not only were they back at work and feeling excited but they sense an overall change in the air... a real excitement from everyone they meet and that the business is exploding. They are all looking forward to a FANTASTIC year with Symmetry!

We had some great informational sessions on how to grow your business from the top producers of our terrific field of Business Partners and Symmetry Executives including Founder and President: Mr. Rudy Revak.
Dr. Howard Cohn from Southern California and Dr. Lewis Wright from New York talked about the benefits of supplements; resveratrol in particular, and some of the problems in mainstream medicine in regards to supplement and/or drug use. Both sessions were very informative and well received.
In my session I talked briefly about the ancient history of wine and it's use not only as a drink but it's medicinal uses. The medicinal uses of old, are today, explained by cutting edge science - often related to the amazing benefits of resveratrol. We also talked about the recent wonderful press resveratrol has gotten not only in the printed news media but on the TV including the recent Barbra Walters special on Living To Be 150.
I also got a chance to play a bit as half of my training involved the use of Aikido Principles in Life and Business. Here participants got a chance to try some simple Aikido exercises and accomplish some feats they didn't think possible. We then looked at how to apply these same principles in your every day life.
I had a great time sharing and I think our Business Partners were able to take home a lot of good information.
